Externalities (Úthrif)

Should geothermal power be used partially on the national grid to provide energy for electrolysis then external effects from these must be included in the expected impacts of developing a hydrogen economy. In 2010 INE (Maria Maack) and the Innovaton Centre of Iceland (Fanney Frisbæk) returned a report on the external cost of geothermal power production focusing on the cost of hydrogen sulfate. An article based on the report is in preparation (2012).
