Denmark is first to boast basic national network Following the opening of Denmark's 9th hydrogen refuelling station (HRS) in early March, the country has become the world's first to boast a basic national network of HRSs. All the stations use hydrogen produced by renewable electricity with electrolysers. Although the hydrogen is currently imported from neighboring Germany, starting in 2017, it will be produced locally in Hobro, using electricity from Danish wind turbines.
